Hugh Cecil Saunders (14 December 1889 [1 ] [2 ] – March 1974, Brighton) was an English photographer of the 1910s, 1920s and 1930s, who practised under the name of Hugh Cecil.
Cecil was the eighth and youngest child of Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury, three times Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and Georgina Alderson, daughter of Sir Edward Hall Alderson.
During the World War Lord Hugh joined the Flying Corps, becoming a lieutenant R.F.C. in 1915, and in that capacity he severely censured, in debate in 1918, the treatment of Gen. Trenchard by the Government.
