Iunre's tomb is G 8466, located in the Central Field which is part of the Giza Necropolis. [3 ] The tomb is rockcut and the courtyard contains a life-size statue of a man.

He ruled during the 4th Dynasty in a period called the Old Kingdom. He was the son of Khufu, another famous pharaoh. Khafre became king after his brother, Djedefre.
