Onoe Shōroku II ( 二代目 尾上 松緑, Nidaime Onoe Shoroku; Japanese pronunciation: [o.no.e (|) ɕoꜜː.ɾo.kɯ], [1 ] March 28, 1913 – June 25, 1989) is the stage name for Yutaka Fujima, a Japanese kabuki actor who specialized in male roles.
He was expelled from the Ichikawa clan. For a long time it was thought he would never return to the stage. He was later forgiven and by April 1890 returned to the stage and took the name Ichikawa Somegorō IV.
It is based on stories from Lafcadio Hearn's collections of Japanese folk tales, mainly Kwaidan: Stories and Studies of Strange Things (1904), for which it is named.
