Hughes and Fred Perry won the doubles at the French Championships in 1933 and at the Australian Championships in 1934. Hughes later teamed up with Raymond Tuckey.
Vergil Patrick Hughes (born May 27, 1955) [1 ] is an American sportscaster. He has been the radio play-by-play announcer for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB) since 1996.
Hughes won the Stanley Cup with Montreal in 1979, and with the Oilers in 1984 and 1985. He was inducted into the Etobicoke Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. [1 ]
