Robert Douglas Finlayson (9 November 1909 – 11 January 1999), known professionally as Robert Douglas, was an English stage and film actor, a television director and producer.

Robert Douglas (c. 1703 – 30 April 1745) of St Ola, Orkney was a British Army officer and Scottish politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1730 to 1745.
Douglas was born in 1837, the eldest son of Sir Robert Andrews Douglas, 2nd Baronet of Douglas of Glenbervie. [1 ] His grandfather, the 1st Baronet, was Kenneth Douglas, born Kenneth MacKenzie.
Firstly to Miss Irvine of Drum, by whom he had Rev RobertDouglas, minister of Bothwell. He next married Elizabeth Lammy daughter of Rev Sylvester Lammy of Glamis.
