Sevillanas ( Spanish pronunciation: [seβiˈʝanas]) are a type of folk music and dance of Sevilla and its region. They were derived from the Seguidilla, an old Castilian folk music and dance genre.
Sevilla [se'βi.ʝa] on eteläisen Espanjan kulttuurin, taiteen ja liike-elämän keskus Guadalquivirjoen rannalla. Se on myös Andalusian itsehallintoalueen ja Sevillan maakunnan pääkaupunki.
Built between the 16th and 19th centuries and listed as a Monument since 1931, the Ayuntamiento de Sevilla (Town Hall) is one of the most outstanding examples of Plateresque architecture.
