Miracle in the Land of Oblivion (Ukrainian: «Чудо в краю забуття») is a 1991 Ukrainian film directed by Natalia Motuzko. [1 ] It is based on the story of Valery Shevchuk "Petro Utekliy".
The film tells the story of the Danish-born Russian explorer Vitus Bering, who, by decree of Peter the Great in 1725, led the First Kamchatka expedition and made new discoveries, expanding the borders of the Russian Empire. [4 ]
