Vitoria-Gasteiz, capital of Álava provincia (province), in Basque Country comunidad autónoma (autonomous community), northeastern Spain. It is located north of the Vitoria Hills on the Zadorra River, southwest of San Sebastián.
Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spanish: Vitoria, Basque: Gasteiz) is in the heart of the Basque Country in Spain. The old town has some of the best preserved medieval streets and plazas in the region and it is one of very few cities with two cathedrals.
