Arvid Carlsson (25. ledna 1923 Uppsala – 29. června 2018 Göteborg) byl švédský farmakolog a lékař, nositel Nobelovy ceny za fyziologii a lékařství za rok 2000.

Arvid Carlsson, Swedish pharmacologist who, along with Paul Greengard and Eric Kandel, was awarded the 2000 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for his research establishing dopamine as an important neurotransmitter in the brain.

Arvid Carlsson was born in Uppsala, Sweden, to parents who were both academics. He grew up in Lund, where his father had become a professor of history.
