How can I find the IP address of my Tapo&Kasa camera
Note: Some Tapo battery cameras or doorbells need to work with the hub and can't connect to the router directly, which do not have IP address.There are two methods to find the IP address of the camera.
Here we take Tapo C200 as an example. Method 1: Via Tapo app
1. On the Tapo app> Home page, tap your camera model card to go to the Live View page (or you can click on Cameras tab>tap Manage on your camera model to go to the Live View page).
2. On the Live View page, tap the icon at the top right corner to enter the Device Settings page.
3. Tap Device Info and then you can find the IP address of your camera.
Method 2: Via the web management page of your router
Here we take the TP-Link router Archer C7 as an example.
1. Log in to the management page of your router.
2. Go to Advanced > Network > DHCP Server and locate the DHCP Client List section to find the IP address of your camera.
Where can I find detection recordings of Tapo & Kasa cameras on the Tapo app?
This article will introduce the steps to find and watch the detection recordings of the Tapo&Kasa cameras on the Tapo app.Here, we take Tapo C200 as an example.
Step 1.
On the Home page of the Tapo app:
- Click on the camera model to go to the Live View page.
- Tap the settings icon at the top right corner to go to the Device Settings page.
- Click on Detection to check if the related detection types are enabled. For example, please enable Motion Detection if you want the camera to record motion events.
Note: Different camera models support different detection types.
Step 2.
On the Live View page, tap Playback & Download to view detection recordings.
For Cloud Videos:
If you have subscribed to the Tapo/Kasa Care service, please tap the Cloud icon and select the date to find your desired detection recordings.
Tap the three dots icon at the top right corner, and you have Select and Filter options.
Select: It helps you select the recordings to delete.
Filter: It helps you filter the recordings according to the detection type. In addition, Tapo C530WS and Tapo C520WS support Adjust Event Type, allowing you to manually adjust the event type during playback if the event type differs from the actual scenario to improve detection accuracy.
Note: You can also watch the cloud detection recordings on the Tapo app>Cameras tab>Activity Center; the Activity Center will show all your camera detection recordings.
For Local Videos:
If you have inserted a microSD card into the camera, please go to the camera’s Device Settings>Storage & Recording page to confirm that the microSD Card Recording feature is enabled. Then, the camera detection recordings will be stored on the microSD card.
On the camera’s Live View>Playback & Download>Playback page, tap the SD Card icon, select the date, and then drag the timeline to find the detection recordings you want to view.
Note: Different detection recordings have different colors.
If you tap the three dots icon at the top right corner, you will see Auto-Save to Phone feature.

How to update the firmware of the Tapo&Kasa devices on the Tapo App
The firmware of the TP-Link smart devices can only be updated by using the TP-Link App. Here we introduce the method to update the firmware via the Tapo app, and please make sure you’ve downloaded this app before continuing.Before you begin:
- Please log into the Tapo app with your cloud account and make sure you can control your smart devices.
- Please note that do not power off your smart device during the update.
Method1:
Here we take the Tapo P110 as an example.
Step 1.
On the Home page, tap on your plug model card to go to the plug control panel.
Tap the icon at the top right corner to go to the Device Settings page.
Step 2.
You can tap Firmware Update on the Device Settings page to check for updating the firmware and customizing Auto Update Time.
Note:
- Not all smart devices support the Auto Update feature.
- You can turn off the Auto Update feature according to your needs.
Method 2:
Please go to Me> Firmware Update to check for updates or update the firmware.

Jakou aplikaci pro Windows/Mac použít k ovládání Tapo? (RTSP/ONVIF)
Kamera Tapo podporuje protokol RTSP, takže může pracovat se zařízeními NVR nebo NAS třetích stran, která také podporují protokol RTSP. Pokud chce uživatel zobrazit živý stream z kamery pomocí aplikace třetí strany, jako je VLC Player, bude muset zadat adresu URL streamu RTSP v aplikaci VLC Player.Adresa URL živého přenosu RTSP pro kamery Tapo bude:
Pro 1080P (1920*1080) stream1: rtsp://username:password@IP Address:554/stream1
Pro 360P (640*360) stream2: rtsp://username:password@IP Address:554/stream2
Poznámky:
1. Uživatelské jméno / heslo je účet kamery, který musíte vytvořit v aplikaci Tapo - klikněte na konkrétní kameru -> vpravo nahoře "nastavení" -> pokročilé nastavení -> účet kamery -> zde vytvořte libovolný účet jen pro stream.
2. IP adresa je IP adresa kamery přidělená hostitelským routerem. Najdete jej v seznamu DHCP hostitelského routeru nebo v aplikaci Tapo - klikněte na konkrétní kameru -> vpravo nahoře "nastavení" -> klikněte na první položku (název kamery s modelovým označením a miniaturou obrazu) -> zde najdete "IP adresa"
3. Pokud chcete na dálku sledovat živý přenos kamery Tapo pomocí aplikace třetí strany, budete muset nejprve otevřít port 554 pro kameru na hostitelském routeru.
4. Můžete také použít standardy ONVIF a přidat kameru Tapo s jejím uživatelským jménem / heslem a IP adresou.
5. U Tapo C310 je rozlišení stream1 určeno kvalitou videa nastavenou v aplikaci Tapo APP.
Pokud potřebujete sledovat 3MP HD video přes RTSP, změňte kvalitu videa na nejlepší kvalitu v aplikaci Tapo a použijte: rtsp://username:password@IP Address:554/stream1
Ovládání kamery softwarem třetích stran
Kromě aplikace Tapo mohou kamery Tapo pracovat s jiným softwarem třetích stran, aby mohly používat a spravovat vaši kameru Tapo.
Poznámka: Než začnete, ujistěte se, že se počítač a kamera připojují ke stejné síti.
Krok 1: Vytvořte si účet kamery v aplikaci Tapo
1. Na domovské stránce klepněte na kartu modelu kamery nebo klepnutím na Náhled kamery> Spravovat přejděte na stránku Živé zobrazení.
2. Na stránce Živé zobrazení klepněte na ikonu ozubeného kola a přejděte na stránku Nastavení kamery.
3. Klepněte na Pokročilé nastavení a poté vyberte Účet kamery a vytvořte účet (uživatelské jméno a heslo) pro přihlášení kamery na jiných portálech.
Krok 2: Přidejte kameru Tapo na iSpy
1. Spusťte v počítači software iSpy Connect.
2. Klikněte na Přidat v nabídce vlevo nahoře a vyberte ONVIF kameru.
3. Do vyskakovacího okna zadejte uživatelské jméno a heslo, které jste nastavili pro svoji kameru, vyberte síťovou adresu a klikněte na Další. V případě potřeby můžete upravit další parametry.
4. Vyberte rozlišení videa a klikněte na OK.
5. Podle potřeby upravte nastavení kamery, včetně mikrofonu, hovoru, detekce pohybu, výstrah, nahrávání, obrázků, plánování a ukládání. Všechna nastavení můžete také změnit později. Kliknutím na Dokončit dokončíte přidávání kamery do iSpy
6. Po přidání vaší kamery Tapo do iSpy ji můžete sledovat a spravovat pomocí aplikace. Sledujte živě, přizpůsobujte detekci pohybu, kontrolujte nahrávky, když je detekován pohyb, nastavte plány nahrávání, nahrávejte videa a další.

How can I view continuous recordings of Tapo&Kasa cameras on the Tapo app?
This article will show you how to view continuous recordings on the Tapo app.Note:
- A microSD card is needed for continuous recording. Insert the microSD card and initiate it using the Tapo app.
- The camera models without a microSD card slot do not have this feature.
- The battery-powered cameras (such as Tapo C420, C400, D230, etc.) do not support the continuous recording feature.
Here we take Tapo C200 as an example.
Step 1.
On the Home page of the Tapo app:
- Click on your camera model card to go to the Live View page.
- Click on the icon at the top right corner of the Live View page to go to the Device Settings page.
- Tap Storage & Recording and then ensure the microSD Card Recording feature is enabled.
Step 2.
Click on Recording Schedule to see the detailed recording schedule settings.
Tap Edit on the Recording Schedule page if you want to change the Continuous Recording and Detection Recording schedule.
And please tap the tick icon at the top right corner to save your changes.
Step 3.
On the camera’s Live View page, tap Playback & Download, select the SD Card icon on the Playback page, select the date, and then you can drag the timeline to view the continuous recordings.
For Kasa Cameras
Here we take KC115 as an example.
Step 1.
On the Home page of the Tapo app:
- Click on your camera model card to go to the Live View page.
- Click on the icon at the top right corner of the Live View page to go to the Device Settings page.
- Tap Storage & Recording and then ensure the microSD Card Recording feature is enabled.
Step 2.
On the Live View page of the camera, tap Playback & Download > Playback to view all recordings. Drag the timeline and you can view recordings whenever you want and wherever you are.
